Chapter 4: Woodstock and Confessions
Woodstock 1969 took place on Max
Yasgur's farm in Bethel, New York, hosting three days of peace and music. My
grandma used to talk about Woodstock and how she got there by hitching a ride
with her cousins, who had convinced their parents they were going to the Grand
Canyon. It's unlikely I'll come across her in this huge crowd, so I carefully
made my exit.
The Tardis
appeared not far from a group of people lounging on blankets, enjoying drinks
and smoking what I assumed was marijuana. "Think they'll notice us?"
I inquired nervously. He casually shrugged, "Doubt it, they're too gone to
care. They won't even remember," he chuckled, making me burst into
laughter at the ridiculousness of the situation.
He put his arm around me, and we wandered around taking in the sights. The people around us didn't seem bothered by our sudden presence, as they were engrossed in their own conversations and lost in the moment. "So, does this remind you of Woodstock?" I asked with curiosity. "Not exactly, this event was more focused on the social and political unrest in America during the Vietnam War and civil rights movement. It was a gathering for people to come together in the name of peace and love. Or maybe I should say, free love," he replied, pointing towards a couple engaging in intimate activities in a sleeping bag in front of a small audience. He playfully winked at me and planted a kiss on my forehead, making me giggle. Just then, a woman with long brown hair, blue eyes, and a headband adorned with beads approached us. "The music will be starting soon, why don't you have a brownie or two?" she offered, she was dressed in a vibrant red and blue boho-hippie style blouse with denim bell bottom jeans, and barefoot. I nodded and accepted the brownie, and the Doctor followed suit. Suddenly, another woman approached me and placed a handmade daisy tassel headband on my head. "You look beautiful," she complimented, wearing one herself. As she moved on to distribute headbands to others, I remarked on the friendliness of the people around us. The Doctor explained that it was a peace and love festival, which made sense. We found a clear spot to sit, enjoying the brownies. Soon, I began to feel a bit peculiar, suspecting that the brownies were infused with something. Chuckling, I embraced the wave of happiness that washed over me, while the Doctor seemed just as enchanted. We relaxed on the grass, gazing at the sky as the clouds transformed into various shapes. He confessed, "I want you to be my permanent companion, but I'm afraid of losing you."
We both chuckled softly as we found our spot
on the grass, people passing by.
"Don't
worry, Doctor, you won't lose me. I trust you."
"I
appreciate that you feel secure with me and that you depend on me, but I'm a dangerous
man or alien," he admitted. I giggled and leaned against his chest,
feeling relaxed. “Doctor, I don’t know what happened to the other companions,
but I will always be here for you,” I said and kissed him. A few individuals
passed by and greeted us with "Peace and love," to which we responded
in kind. The Doctor and I started passionately kissing while the music filled
the air. Different rock bands performed, and the crowd enjoyed themselves,
snacking on brownies or whatever treats they had. We stood up and joined in the
excitement, rocking out with everyone else. Surprisingly, nobody seemed to
question the Doctor's age difference with me, maybe they simply didn't care.
Eventually, we decided to return to the Tardis.
"Come on Cherise, let's go have some sexy
fun," he exclaimed, flashing a flirtatious grin. As we walked towards the
Tardis, we noticed a couple of hippies circling it once it materialized.
I
suspected that there was more than just marijuana in those brownies. He
extended an invitation for them to enter, and their eyes widened in
astonishment as they took in the interior of the Tardis. "Wow, this
is awesome," exclaimed a woman with long sandy-brown hair, dressed in a
brown suede mini skirt and a cropped tie-dyed tee shirt. "Don't
worry, they'll only remember this as a trippy dream," he whispered to me,
winking mischievously. “Don’t touch anything,” he said to them.
As they
departed, their farewell was filled with a passionate embrace that warmed our
souls. A captivating woman approached me, her luscious red locks cascading down
her back, she gave me a tender kiss on the lips that ignited a fire within me.
"May
peace and love be with you both," she whispered before gracefully exiting
the Tardis.
This was my first encounter with a same-sex
kiss, and the exhilaration that coursed through my veins was indescribable. The
Tardis vanished into thin air as the door closed, only to reappear in a
secluded field a few miles away from the bustling festival, hidden from prying
eyes. Overwhelmed with euphoria, I spun around, feeling radiant and alive. The
Doctor observed me with an intense longing, his eyes filled with desire. The
Tardis intercepted radio signals, filling the air with the enchanting melodies
of popular music from that era. The captivating tune of “Crystal Blue
Persuasion" reverberated through the Tardis, setting the perfect
ambiance for our intimate dance. We swayed together in a slow, sensual rhythm,
his strong arms enveloping me tightly. In that moment, I could sense his
arousal, his passion burning like a flame. Without hesitation, he effortlessly
lifted me, carrying me to his bedroom. As he threw me onto his bed, a surge of
anticipation coursed through my veins. The Doctor began to undress, revealing
his sculpted physique that loomed over me with an irresistible allure. His
carnal instincts took hold of him, and I watched in awe as he tore off my
garments with a fervor I had never witnessed before. The sight of his unbridled
lust excited me beyond measure. I willingly allowed him to enter me, and he did
so with a force that sent waves of pleasure crashing through my body. He then
pulled his thick member out and initiated oral pleasure, his skilled tongue
sensually caressing my pulsating clit, yearning to provide me with the
exquisite pleasure that only his tender kisses and gentle touch could offer.
His mouth enveloped my delicate bud, and as I reached the pinnacle of ecstasy,
he eagerly consumed my essence, savoring every drop.
With
each rhythmic thrust, I moaned in pure ecstasy, my fingers lightly tugging on
his hair as the intensity of our orgasms threatened to overwhelm me. The
pleasure was so intense that I teetered on the edge of unconsciousness. A soft
moan escaped my lips, mingling with a playful giggle, as he poured out his love
for pleasuring me orally. But amidst his confession, he also revealed a burning
desire to tie me up and ravish me with unbridled passion. His eyes, filled with
an intense fire, traced the contours of my smooth, sun-kissed skin, yearning to
leave his mark on me, to claim me as his own. Love bites adorned my inner
thighs, breasts, and neck, a beautiful blend of anticipation and excitement
coursing through my veins. From his wardrobe, he retrieved two neckties,
skillfully binding my wrists to the golden iron headboard. With my legs draped
over his shoulders, he plunged into me with a force that sent waves of pleasure
crashing through my body. Ecstatic screams of delight escaped my lips,
harmonizing with the rhythm of our passionate union. As our intense lovemaking
reached its crescendo, we found solace in each other's arms, basking in the
warm afterglow of our connection. In the tender moments that followed, he
shared tales of past companions, from someone named Zoe up to Rose, recounting
the intimate encounters he shared with them in his past incarnations. Except
for Rose, that relationship was more current. A pang of jealousy tugged at my heartstrings
as I realized they had experienced him in ways I had not yet.
"You hold a special place in my heart, my
hidden affection," he whispered, his voice filled with sincerity.
"You are my source of solace and support whenever I seek it. Do you mind
if I see you that way?" I reassured him, my voice filled with love and
understanding, "No, of course not. But why not take me on intergalactic
escapades?" His expression turned somber as he explained, "Because my
past companions have either departed, perished, or vanished in some manner.
Rose was lost to another dimension or reality, beyond my reach," he
lamented. "I've come to realize that those around me often meet
unfortunate fates, their lives endangered by my very presence." With a heavy
heart, he pressed a tender kiss to my forehead as I nestled against his chest.
"But you have also saved many others," I sighed, my voice filled with
a mixture of admiration and affection. Leaning in, I placed a gentle kiss upon
his lips, a silent promise that I would stand by his side, no matter the
challenges we may face together. His eyes gleaming with excitement. “I’d much
rather take you to a world like Midnight, where we can feel safe and explore
the wonders it holds." I couldn't help but smile at his enthusiasm,
knowing that he always had a knack for finding the most extraordinary places in
the universe.
“But
nothing bad happened at Midnight. I’m sure it’ll be fine wherever you take me,”
I leaned in for a kiss as I reminisced about our previous visit to Midnight. A
mischievous grin spread across his face. "Well, technically, something did
happen," he said, his voice filled with playful mischief. He was referring
to the first time we had sex. “While we were there, we shared a moment of
intimacy that I'll never forget," he reminded me. I couldn't help but
chuckle at his choice of words, knowing exactly what he was referring to. Sensing
my amusement, he leaned closer and whispered, "But you know what? I think
the reason I keep coming back to you is because I crave peace and tranquility.
I'm tired of the constant battles and losing those dear to me. I just want to
feel human, even if it's just for a little while." His vulnerability
touched my heart, and I understood why he sought solace in our connection. Suddenly,
his tone turned serious, and he confessed, "There's something else I need
to tell you." I looked at him expectantly, waiting for him to continue.
"Remember that time when I was asleep in your bed?" I nodded,
recalling the peaceful sight of him resting.
"Well,"
he hesitated, his cheeks turning slightly pink, "I couldn't resist the
temptation. I slipped into your bed and caressed your body, hoping you would
wake up.
But you didn't, so I fell asleep beside you." His words hung in the air, and I struggled to process the information he had just shared. Conflicting emotions swirled within me as I tried to make sense of his confession. On one hand, I felt a sense of violation, knowing that he had crossed a boundary without my consent. On the other hand, our close relationship and previous intimacy blurred the lines, making it difficult to fully condemn his actions. I couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if I had woken up, and the thought sent a shiver down my spine. As we made our way back through time, the Tardis appeared in my room, a sense of caution lingered in the air. I stepped out of the Tardis, and he followed suit. "I'll see you tomorrow," he whispered, leaving a lingering kiss on my lips before heading out the door. Glancing outside, I realized that the sun had already set, and darkness had settled in. Curious about the time, I grabbed my phone and saw that it was already 9:00pm. I hastily changed back into my earlier outfit prior to the Doctor's visit, then I made my way downstairs. To my surprise, my parents were in the living room, absorbed in a TV show.
"Sweetie,
I didn't know you were back. I thought you were staying over at Lana's
place," my mom asked, a hint of confusion in her tone.
"I
changed my mind," I replied.
"How's
Lana doing?" my mom asked, curious.
"She's
okay. I just wanted to say goodnight to you guys," I replied. Mom checked
the time and remarked that it was still early.
"I'm exhausted, so goodnight," I said, retreating to my room. After a warm shower, I settled into bed. The next day, Lana and I visited the local shopping center, chatting about her job and her relationship issues. She mentioned trying to reach me the previous night, and my heart raced at the thought of her calling my house. Contemplating whether to confide in her about the Doctor, I realized the challenge of keeping secrets from a friend as perceptive as Lana is difficult. A sigh escaped my lips as I strolled down the sidewalk with Lana, and I caught sight of the woman with sandy blonde curly hair who flashed a smile in my direction.
Lana asked,” Do you know her?”
“Um,
no,” I replied. As Lana excused herself to use the restroom, I found myself
seated on a wooden bench by a walkway in the quad, patiently waiting for her
return. It was then that the same woman I had seen earlier approached me and
took a seat beside me, sparking curiosity in my mind.
I hoped
that her explanation would shed some light on the situation. She began to
explain that this incarnation of the Doctor hadn't crossed paths with her yet,
nor had he taken Donna as a companion yet, but River knew about Donna with
fiery red hair. It seemed that Donna was a surprise visitor to the Tardis, as
mentioned by the Doctor himself. As the pieces started to come together, I
recalled the Doctor mentioning Donna during our conversations. A tinge of
jealousy crept in as I realized he was spending time with her. "Is he
becoming intimate with her as well?" I couldn't help but ask, my curiosity
getting the better of me. River simply chuckled; her laughter filled with a
hint of mischief. "Trust me, sweetie, there's no way he'd be intimate with
her," she assured me, her voice laced with confidence.
"But they will become good friends."
Her words weren't exactly encouraging, but I knew that River had a unique
perspective on the Doctor's relationships. Throughout her own travels in time,
she had encountered various versions of the Doctor and often spoke about them. Unlike
the Doctor, who had his trusty Tardis, River possessed a different time-travel
device called a vortex time manipulator. It was a fascinating piece of
technology, and she even owned two of them. As she continued to share her
experiences and knowledge, I couldn't help but be captivated by her stories.
It was
clear that River Song was a force to be reckoned with, and I couldn't wait to
learn more about her adventures. "I could show you the different incarnations
of the Doctor, ranging from young to old. The Doctor I am planning to marry is
an older incarnation of him, but he has not made an appearance yet," she
disclosed.
"I'm
not entirely certain if I should join you, but I will think about it," I
responded. She nodded in acknowledgment.
"Take
your time to ponder over it. Also, if I were you, I would consider using birth
control," she suggested before standing up to leave.
"Hold
on, what do you mean? I don't think I can get pregnant. He's an alien," I
exclaimed with a raised eyebrow. She chuckled softly, crossed her arms, and
gazed down at me. "Oh, sweetie, you are young,” she paused and said, “Just
be careful," leaning in to plant a kiss on my forehead. As River walked
away without a backward glance, Lana approached us with a puzzled expression.
"Who
the Fuck was that? Do you know her?" Lana asked, observing River's
departure.
"Um,
there's something important I need to discuss with you. Let's head to my house
because this might take a while." I sighed, and we drove back home. With my
parents away at a neighbor's house for a game night and my brother out with his
friend, I offered Lana a glass of iced tea before we went upstairs. After
closing the door behind us, I took a deep breath and began narrating the entire
story from the very beginning, providing her with all the intricate details.
When I finished, she gave me a skeptical look. "Are you sure you haven't
been raiding your brother's secret stash?" she teased. I realized that she
wasn’t going to believe me unless she saw it for herself, so we went downstairs
and watched something on the television.
As she walked in, looking flustered and crossing her arms, I couldn't help but notice the pout on her face. Curiosity piqued, I asked, "What's up?" Lana's eyes welled up with tears as she began to explain, "My boyfriend and I broke up." Without hesitation, I pulled her into a comforting hug. Wanting to distract her from her heartbreak, I suggested we go upstairs, promising to show her something that might lift her spirits. "It better be good," she said, wiping away her tears, "because right now, I feel completely bummed." I inquired about her absence from work, and she revealed that her boyfriend had texted her with devastating news, leaving her too upset to deal with customers. As I swung open the door to my room, Lana's astonishment was palpable. The Doctor was perched on my bed, his gaze fixed on her. Lana stood frozen, her mouth hanging open in disbelief. "Who are you? Oh my God, Cherise, there's a stranger in your..." Her voice trailed off as realization dawned on her. "Wait, no way, you're the guy Cherise is seeing?" Lana glanced at me, confusion evident on her face, before turning her attention back to the Doctor. It was then that she noticed the Tardis, and her eyes widened in disbelief. "What the Hell? Everything you've told me is actually true!" Lana took a hesitant step closer to the Tardis, her hand reaching out to touch its surface. "I can't wrap my head around this. Cherise, there are no words," she exclaimed. The Doctor chimed in with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes, "Just wait until you see the inside." I couldn't help but smile at his remark, knowing the wonders that awaited Lana. Uncertain of what to expect, Lana hesitated before finally saying, "Oh, I don't know if I should," Lana hesitated, unsure of what to expect. “Don’t be afraid Lana, it’s perfectly fine. I’ve been in it and…”
“And
you’ve been to places that,” she paused and mulled over the offer. She clicked
her tongue. “Well, maybe I will join you, even if it’s only for a day,” she
said and smiled. She extended her hand out to the Doctor, “I’m Lana,
Cherise’s BFF.” He stood up and shook her hand and kissed it. I’m not
going to lie; I felt a bit jealous. He glanced at me; he knew that it bothered
me. I gulped. Lana quickly pulled her hand away, and her face flushed. She gave
me a nervous glance. “So, shall we go.” The Doctor said and gestured toward the
Tardis.
“Like,
right now?” Lana asked. I nodded and smiled.
“Um, I don’t know. Will I be back before 10pm?” The Doctor chuckled. “Yes, I can bring you back right at the same time that we left.” Lana hesitated. “Okay,” she said. I went to my desk in my room and wrote a brief note to my parents.
“Well, I don’t know him like you do and I don’t want to be alone with him. He’s a man, older man,” she said, emphasizing on the word older. Lana and I are the same age, differing by a few months. I chuckled and put my arm around her shoulder. “Let’s go in but don’t be surprised, remember what I told you about the Tardis.”
As she entered, her eyes widened in amazement at the vastness of the interior space. "Wow, you weren't kidding. It's much larger inside," she said.
The Doctor chuckled, "I've heard that countless times before."
"So, where are we headed?" I asked, giving him a playful look. He grinned in response. "I know of a beautiful and secure planet, so I'll take you both there to explore."
"I don't feel any movement," Lana remarked.
"This isn't just a ship, young lady, it's a time-traveling spacecraft—kind of," The Doctor explained, pausing for a moment. "Well, it's more like a spacecraft," he added with a shrug and a smile. "Why are you taking us to a safe planet?" I asked, showing my innocence.
"I want to ensure your safety, I don't want any harm to befall you both," The Doctor replied earnestly. I nodded in understanding. Upon arrival, we disembarked from the spacecraft.
The world around us was a paradise of lush greenery, adorned with an array of vibrant flowers in every shade imaginable. Towering trees reached towards the sky, their branches swaying gently in the breeze. Crystal-clear streams meandered through the landscape, adding a soothing melody to the symphony of nature. As we strolled along the path, I couldn't resist the temptation to pluck a few of the exquisite flowers that caught my eye. Lana, overwhelmed by the sheer beauty surrounding us, couldn't help but express her amazement.
"Wow, this is absolutely breathtaking!" she exclaimed, her excitement palpable. Inhaling deeply, the air filled my lungs with a sweet and refreshing fragrance, a testament to the purity of this enchanting place. Our exploration led us to a sight that piqued my curiosity - unusually large mushrooms, their unique shapes and colors adding an element of intrigue to our adventure.
I couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow, these mushrooms are straight out of Alice in Wonderland!" as I reached out to touch one. However, the Doctor quickly intervened, cautioning me, "Hold on, Cherise. It's best not to touch them. Some mushrooms in this area can be poisonous." With a flick of his Sonic screwdriver over my hand, he confirmed that the one I had touched was harmless. Understanding the potential danger, I nodded in agreement, promising to refrain from touching them.
As we approached a pond nestled in the forest, wisps of steam rose from its surface, prompting me to inquire if it was a hot spring.
“Is this some sort of Hot Springs?” I asked. The Doctor, in response, scanned the pond with his sonic screwdriver. he nodded. Confirming my suspicion, the Doctor revealed that there were peculiar creatures residing in the water. These creatures, resembling starfish but with a slimy lime green hue and short tendrils, maybe they use them to hook onto fish or something. They were approximately 8 inches long and 5 inches wide, leaping in and out of the pond. I wondered about their identity. "What are they?" I asked him. My question prompted the Doctor to investigate further with his sonic screwdriver.
“Hmm, interesting. It looks like these odd creatures are some kind of parasites. It is best to steer clear of this area, let’s go girls,” he turned to walk away, and I spotted one of those creatures fly toward us. Lana felt a sudden impact on her arm, causing her to let out a piercing scream. Reacting swiftly, the Doctor reached out with his trusty screwdriver and made contact with the mysterious object, causing it to tumble to the ground. Without hesitation, he swiftly kicked it back into the nearby pond. As I turned around, a chaotic scene unfolded before my eyes - the peculiar creatures were in a state of frenzy. Sensing danger, the Doctor urgently exclaimed, "They are drawn to our body heat, we must leave immediately!" The tiny creatures leaped towards us with an intense desire to latch onto our bodies, their fervor palpable in the air.
“Run girls,” the Doctor said. Then suddenly all I can remember is that everything went black. The next thing I remember I woke up in a hospital, in an alien hospital. An android walked toward me. “You are awake, I will inform your fellow companions.” It walked out the door and down the hallway. Lana came running in and gave me a hug. She had tears in her eyes. “Are you okay? You don’t feel like wanting to have sex with me, right?” I looked at her confused. “What?” I asked.
“Oh, she’s fine,” the Doctor walked in, letting out a sigh of relief. His solemn eyes met mine, but there was a sense of relief in his gaze as he observed my improved condition. Curiosity filled me as I asked, "What happened?" A perplexed expression clouded my face, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. My throat tightened as I swallowed nervously. Sensing my need for privacy, the doctor turned to Lana and requested, "Lana dear, could you please step out to the lobby and give me a moment alone with Cherise?" Lana nodded. As the Doctor settled into a chair beside the bed, he reached out and gently planted a tender kiss on my lips. With a mixture of concern and care, I asked, "Doctor, what exactly happened to me?"
“What do you remember?” He asked.
I pondered, “Well, I remember the planet with the beautiful landscape and then there was that pond with steam coming out from it.” My mind was overwhelmed by vivid images of the parasite latching onto my face, causing me to flinch in discomfort. A dull ache began to throb in my head, prompting me to massage my forehead. As I did so, he gently grasped my hand and tenderly kissed it, a gentle smile gracing his face. Suppressing his tears, he held back his emotions, leaving me with a lump in my throat. “Tell me what happened?” He shook his head. If the pain still lingers when you attempt to recollect, I will wait and disclose it to you once you've fully recovered." He rose from his seat and gently planted a kiss on my forehead and lips. "I'll be stepping out for a while, but your friend is here, and I've given her a special phone to reach me in case of any emergencies."
"Hold on, you never gave me a 'special' phone." He chuckled and flashed a smile.
"Butterfly, I'm genuinely worried about you. The phone Lana has will be yours once you're feeling better. I love you," he expressed, pressing another kiss on my forehead. "He said 'I love you'."
"But Doctor, when will I be able to return home?"
“When you are 100% better. I will be back to check on you, I promise.” He walked out. I didn’t know how to feel about him leaving and why I was in this cold, strange hospital. Lana walked in shortly after. “Hey, you’re wearing different clothes,” I said, noticing her attire. “Yeah, we went home Cherise but...,”
“But what?” I wanted to push for answers but at the same time, I remember what it felt like when I tried to remember. "The Doctor informed me that you shouldn’t try to force yourself to remember, that the memories should resurface naturally." Lana's expression turned serious, but also filled with worry. "What's the matter?"
"Cherise, it feels like we've been away for more than just a few hours. It's as if a whole week or even longer has passed. I can't help but wonder if our parents are concerned. They might've even filed a missing person's report for us."
“Remember,
the Tardis is a time machine, he can get us back almost to the exact time we
left.” I smiled.
“I am so happy to see you smile again.” We chatted about nothing really, all the while averting triggers pertaining to what happened to me.
“Lana,
your bed will be ready for you,” the Android informed and pointed toward a bed that
rose up from the floor.
“Wow,” I thought. The Android had departed, prompting me to inquire about the Doctor's choice of hospital. She hesitated before replying, "This is the only place equipped to help you." Curious, I asked about the duration of my stay.
"Three days, but it feels like much longer," she responded wearily. Feeling a sense of recovery, I expressed a desire to return home, yearning for the comfort of my own bed. Lana remained silent, though her reluctance to share information was evident. As exhaustion set in, I suggested we rest for the night. Lana agreed with a smile, and we drifted off to sleep, my mind filled with dark peculiar dreams.
“Shh,
come to me,” I said but it wasn’t my voice, it didn’t sound like me.
“Well, I guess that doesn’t matter right?” He said as he stepped closer. With a swift motion, I spun around and secured the door, my grip tightening as I forcefully guided him towards me, compelling him to the ground. The steamy atmosphere of the sauna ignited my senses, and I straddled him, only to be taken aback as an unexpected sensation slithered out from my mouth. A serpentine creature with writhing tendrils emerged from the darkness, slithering into his mouth and suffocating him before disappearing back into the shadows.
Suddenly jolting awake, I gasped for air as Lana, startled by my scream, sat up in concern, asking, "What's the matter?"
"I had a terrifying nightmare," I whispered, still shaken by the lingering horror of the twisted vision that had invaded my sleep.
“Did you feel any pain?” I touched my head and sighed. “Maybe a little but not as bad as the last time.” Lana gave me a worried look. “Okay, I can call the Doctor if you want to talk to him?”
“No, it will be fine. I guess I just need another day to recuperate.” The Doctor's presence was desired, but it seemed like he needed some time alone to reflect. I sensed his guilt over what transpired. Another day went by, and I started to feel restless. "I'm worried he might abandon us," I voiced my concern. She reassured me, "I hope not." As fragmented memories resurfaced, my headache lessened, prompting me to ask about the events from Lana. "Wouldn't you rather hear it from the Doctor?" Lana asked. I declined, feeling ashamed. "I'd prefer to hear it from you, please."
“Okay,
I hope I’m doing the right thing. The Doctor said that I should let him know if
you start to remember but I think I’ll fill you in a bit before you face him
again.” I looked at her wondering if I had done something horrific to the
Doctor and maybe that’s why he left. She started to tell me what had happened
and why I ended up in a futuristic alien hospital. “Remember when we visited
that planet?” I nodded.
“Well, those things that were flying around jumping out of the water in the pond— they were parasitic alien creatures. We were trying to avoid getting hit by them or maybe I should say, trying not to get impaled by one unfortunately when you turned around to see one flying toward you, it attached itself to your mouth and the Doctor quickly ran up to you and used his sonic screwdriver to detach it; once it fell he kicked it into the pond. He carried you the rest of the way to the Tardis. But what we didn’t know is that it had injected something inside you. When we got back to the Tardis, you were coughing, he waved the screwdriver over your body but didn’t detect anything yet. He gave you some water and after a while you seemed to have gotten better,” she paused.
“And?” I asked, feeling my angst deepen.
“We didn’t realize what had happened and should’ve seen the signs. You started complaining that you were cold. When we got home, the Doctor told me to call him if I see anything different about you.” My eyes locked onto her, filled with a mix of curiosity and apprehension, as I braced myself for what could be a devastating revelation. A sense of unease washed over me, settling deep within my chest, as if warning me of the impending storm. In that tense moment, she nervously swallowed, her actions betraying the weight of the secret she was about to share.
“You
rested for two days, your mom thought you were sick with the flu or something.
You had a fever but then by the third day you started feeling better. I came to
visit you and talk about everything we experienced, and may I add I do not ever
want to travel with him again. Time traveling and space travel is for those who
can take the anxiety and fear of the dangers that come with it.”
“Tell me Lana,” I said, becoming impatient.
She nodded. “Okay so, you started changing. You suddenly said you had a migraine then it was as if your personality changed. In the middle of the conversation, you froze and turned, giving me a blank look. There was something about your eyes that creeped me out. You stood up and walked to the mirror. You stared at yourself as though it was the first time you saw your own reflection. “Take a picture, it will last you longer,” I remarked and chuckled.
“I do remember what you’re talking about. There was a voice inside my head, a strange thing spoke on my behalf.”
She nodded, “Well, um, you said you felt cold, and I looked at you and wondered if you were feeling well. It was hot outside; I found it strange.
“Maybe you should get more rest,” I suggested to you. You came up to me and hugged me,” she paused. “You were hugging me passionately.” Lana revealed, embarrassed.
“What?”
“I am so sorry; I don’t know why I did that. It is so unlike me.”
“I agree but whatever happened to you on that planet was something that the Doctor could help you with. Unfortunately, when I ran out of your room, I left the phone behind, and I did not want to go back in there, so I hid downstairs. Your parents weren’t home, and your brother is always out somewhere.”
“When
did you go back and pick it up?”
“After
you left.”
“What?
You let me leave?”
“What
do you mean?”
She
looked at me, reluctant to tell me. “Come on, is it that bad?”
“Well, when the Doctor came, we took your car and drove around looking for you. We spotted you walking down a sidewalk. A man walked past, and you stopped and started following him. We called out your name, you glanced but did not acknowledge us. The Doctor said that the pond wasn’t an ordinary pond,” she said.
“What?” I exclaimed.
“He said that he had gone back and took samples of the water, there is a hot spring at the bottom of it and the parasites love to breed in hot water but he thinks that the parasite that was in you, was the Queen and it chose your body." I let out a sigh and briefly shut my eyes, picturing the potential devastation I might have caused. All I could do was pray that the number of victims wasn't too high.
"The way the Doctor explained it, the egg that was injected into you by the slimy greenish starfish thing-- grew into, well something you don't want in you."
“That’s why I felt cold because it needed heat, it needed my body.” She agreed with my conclusion. “As we followed you in the car, the man went into 21 Fitness, and you followed him in. After we finally found a parking space, we went in but because we didn’t have a membership we had to talk to the receptionist. The Doctor showed her a blank card and she thought that we were investigators.” I remembered the magic card and smiled. The Doctor was frantic, he feared that you’d hurt someone and sure enough, he was right. We saw a man lying on the floor in one of the sauna rooms.
A strange greenish yellow foam was oozing from his mouth. “She must’ve just left,” I told him and as his eyes landed on the corpse, a solemn expression etched across his face. He nodded in recognition, affirming my statement. What happened to that man, happened to you, but he died, and you didn’t.” Confusion clouded my expression as I wore a perplexed look on my face. Feeling overwhelmed, I couldn't help but release a deep sigh, trying to alleviate some of the tension building up inside me.
“Do
you want something to drink?” she asked and I nodded. She stood up and went to a table where
there was a pitcher with water and a cup next to it. She poured the water and
brought the cup to me. I took a sip. “What else happened?”
“The
Doctor took out his screwdriver and waved it over his body."
“I guess he wasn’t the perfect mate. The parasite inside Cherise is looking for a mate to breed and create more of those little buggers,” he said. His face was veiled with a concerned expression, casting a somber shadow. As the woman prepared to enter the sauna, her eyes fell upon the lifeless body, causing a piercing scream to escape her lips. Urgently, the Doctor instructed her to immediately dial 911, for the situation demanded swift action. “This man died of asphyxiation, and shock. I guess his body couldn’t take it.”
“Have
you’ve seen these things before through your travels,” I asked him.
“No,
this is actually the first time,” he said.
I
asked him, “Won’t they investigate why the man died?”
He
nodded, “Yes, but they might throw it off as food poisoning or something. Right
now, our main concern is Cherise.” We got back in the car and drove around.
“It wasn’t your fault,” she responded taking my hand in hers,
trying to ease my angst.
“So, we didn’t know where else you had gone, then I suggested to
go back home, maybe you had returned there.” She fell silent. “Well, what?” I
asked.
"You were at one of your neighbor’s houses.”
“Which one,” I looked at her concerned and obviously anxious about what else I did, and who I might've hurt.
“You were at Mr. Leon’s house. You had just finished,” she paused.
“Finished what?”
“You
just finished having sex with him.”
“What!
Oh no. I use to babysit his kids when I was 14," I was horrified over this revelation.
“Well, you didn’t kill him, you injected him with an egg, that meant you found, or the parasite found the perfect mate.” Frustration and rage consumed me as I realized I had no power over my own body, manipulated by the parasite's influence. Memories of countless Stargate episodes flooded my mind, and if this creature resembled the Goa'uld in any way, I knew I was utterly helpless.
“Mr. Leon, of all things,” I softly, murmured and contorted my face in pain. Lana acknowledged with a slight nod and nonchalant shrug. My eyelids gently shut, and I delved into the depths of my memory, recalling the events that transpired. A flashback emerged: While strolling along the pavement, my gaze caught sight of him meticulously trimming the hedges in his front yard.
“Good morning, Cherise, how are you doing today? I heard you were ill,” he greeted me with a smile. My eyes scanned his appearance. “Cherise, is there something wrong?”
“Well, let’s get you inside and warm you up,” he said and took me into his house. I made my move towards him, planting a passionate kiss on his lips, and he welcomed it eagerly. As I delved into his memories, I discovered a dark secret that Mr. Leon harbored. The images in his mind showed him engaging in sexual acts with a young girl, much younger than myself. Furthermore, his laptop contained explicit pictures of girls aged 15 and older. The parasite within my mind exposed his true desires, revealing that he had always lusted after me and yearned to engage in sexual activities with me. "Mr. Leon, my nasty little man, you like young ladies don’t you. The younger, the better.” His eyes bore into mine with fear, yet I managed to win his trust. He grasped my hand and guided me up the stairs. I struggled to command my own body to flee, but the insidious parasite controlled my every action. It knew of the Doctor's existence within my mind, yet it sought to evade him at any expense. Internally, I screamed for liberation from the parasite's grip, but I was powerless. Suddenly, Mr. Leon and I found ourselves entwined in his bed. I straddled him, positioning his rigid member inside me. "Cherise, you are unaware of my deep desires for you, your beauty and youth are captivating. Your lips are enticing, fulfilling all my fantasies," he declared. With his wife away and children gone, I was shocked and furious at his words. Overcome with a strength not my own, I restrained him as a snake-like entity emerged from my mouth, injecting him with something. Panic turned to calm before the creature injected eggs into him, then retreated back into my mouth. “You are the perfect mate. Sleep now my little human and I will be back,” I said seductively. He was unconscious on the bed in the nude. I took his wife's robe and put it on. I went downstairs and headed to the backyard where there was a hot tub. The hot tub was inside a luxurious gazebo, surrounded by privacy panels. The water was just right for the parasite. That's when Lana and the Doctor discovered me.
I began to cry, “I remember now and I am embarrassed, and I don’t know how I will be able to look into Mr. Leon’s eyes ever again.” I wiped a tear from my eye.
“Don’t worry about him. The Doctor brought both of you here.”
My mouth dropped and I asked, “What? He’s here too. Oh no, does he remember?”
“Don’t worry, he doesn’t because the Doctor made him forget, after he took him back home. The eggs never hatched, and the androids cured him. If he ever does remember, he'll think it was one of his wet dreams," she said and grimaced. I scoffed and sighed, "Yeah, unfortunately knowing what I know about him, I don't know if I can ever see him the same way again. It will be awkward." She nodded.
“How
did they take it out?” She took a deep breath.
“They froze him at a dangerously low level, almost to the dead zone.”
“Did they do the same to me?” She nodded.
“How
did they coax that thing out of me?”
“When your body was at death’s door, the android put a mouthpiece over your mouth, holding it in place, it kind of looked like an oxygen masks. The tank that it was connected to distributed heat and the parasite was sucked right out of you. It was pretty long too.” I was shocked and horrified to hear about it all.
“And the Doctor?” I inquired.
"The Doctor appeared extremely concerned, on the verge of a nervous breakdown. It seems like he has deep feelings for you, but is unwilling to acknowledge them."
“That’s
because he lost someone he loved,” I told her.
“Oh,” she said, looking at me with concern.
“I want to talk to him.” After giving a nod, she walked out to make a call to him using that unique phone. In a matter of minutes, he showed up.
"Cherise, how are you?" His face was filled with concern.
"I'm feeling better, but I deeply apologize for all the trouble I caused." He took a seat on the chair that Lana had been using. Holding my hand, he kissed it and looked into my eyes, visibly relieved that I was improving. It's clear that he genuinely cares about my well-being, especially considering the losses he has experienced.
“No, I am sorry that I took you to that planet. I did not want to endanger your life, but it always happens, I should have known better.” I shook my head, dismissing the doctor's apology. "No need to be sorry, Doctor," I reassured him. "In fact, I was eager to go and..." I trailed off, unsure of how to express my true feelings. Curiosity piqued, the Doctor inquired, "And what were you going to say?" My heart raced as I gathered the courage to respond. Nervously, I swallowed hard before finally admitting, "And I want to be by your side. Being with you is an adventure in itself, exploring different worlds and experiencing different eras in history." A genuine smile spread across his face as he leaned in to kiss me. His lips barely touching mine, he whispered, "Thank you for forgiving me." The sincerity in his voice warmed my heart, reaffirming the bond we shared.
“There’s
nothing to forgive, things happen.” I held his hand.
“How did you make Mr. Leon forget everything?” His face darkened with discontent as soon as his name was brought up. It's evident that he must be aware of the situation between Mr. Leon and me, but he needs to understand that it was the parasite manipulating me. I had no romantic interest in Mr. Leon whatsoever.
“Well, that’s my little secret but I don’t always like to use that power, only in acute circumstances,” he said and playfully tapped my nose. I squinted and smiled.
"Do
you think I am well enough to go home?”
“Do
you feel well enough?” he asked and looked at me with adoration. I nodded.
“Doctor,
did I hurt anyone else while under the influence of that thing?” He hesitated
before answering. “You hurt my feelings and you told me something I didn’t
know.” He looked at me musingly. “Like what?”
“When Lana and I arrived at Mr. Leon’s house, we found you basking in the warm waters of the hot tub. You raised the heat higher than any human should have it. I was afraid that your body would burn but apparently the parasite heals the body of injuries it sustains. When Lana and I tried to pull you out, you hissed at me and jumped out of the tub and assaulted me but not in a good way,” he joked. “The ‘mate’ woke up and ran downstairs to defend the Queen.”
It
must’ve bothered him that I had sex with Mr. Leon, because he looked irked and
dejected when he was relating the story. I sighed.
“That wasn’t me. I would never act like that.”
He
nodded, “I know and now you’re free from that dreaded parasite.”
"How did you get both of us on board your Tardis?"
"The Tardis appeared in the house," he said.
“Did
I say anything to you?” He hesitated.
“Yes,
but I know it was the parasite speaking, however if it’s true you should have
told me.”
“What
did I say?”
“It said that they were going to
take the Tardis and venture to other worlds and breed a whole colony. Fortunately I stopped them by using a stun gun I took from Unit," he paused. "And before you ask me what Unit is, I'll tell you later."
"Did that thing say anything else?" He shifted in the chair and cast his eyes down for a second. "She also said that you love me and that you met someone who offered you a proposition.”
“Proposition?” I asked, casting my eyes briefly sideways.
He nodded, “Yes, to travel with her and visit previous incarnations of me." There was silence between us.
"You never told me about that, why?”
I hesitated, “Doctor, yes, Lana and I were shopping and as I sat waiting for Lana to come out of the restroom, a strange woman approached me. However, I declined her offer." The Doctor's gaze intensified, causing me to feel uneasy. "She introduced herself as River and claimed to know you, but you haven't had any prior interaction with her," I confessed, shrugging my shoulders. The Doctor scoffed and flashed a smile, urging me not to entertain the woman if she ever appeared again. "She might possess the ability to travel through time, even without a Tardis and I don't know how," he paused and added. "I don't trust her though." His brows furrowing as he contemplated the situation. "Stay by my side, be my companion and lover, even if it's not a permanent arrangement. I genuinely want to protect you and rely on you for reassurance..."
I interrupted him, chiming in with a sincere expression, "A shoulder to cry on?" I said, giving him an earnest look.
"Not in that way, you’re more than that. You are special to me, and you know that.” He smiled and kissed my hand.
“But
she said you haven’t met her yet.”
"Well,
I don’t care if we haven’t met yet, I worry about you and I have enemies so stay away
from her.” I nodded. “So, if you’re ready, I want to take you home, I miss
having you in my Tardis,” He winked, smiled, and stood up from his chair. He placed it in the corner. I exhaled, relieved that I no longer have to be in this cold,
strange hospital. He walked out to talk to one of the androids. After I got dressed, Lana walked in. She handed me the phone.
“Funny
that it’s a flip-phone,” I said. Lana smiled.
“I am glad you’re feeling better. I don’t ever want to go with your boyfriend traveling in his spaceship again.” I chuckled and shook my head. I gave her a hug. The Doctor took us home, he handed me some pills that were prescribed by the physician and I am to take them until they run out. Lana went home afterwards. The next morning after breakfast, I met Lana at the park. "Wow, we were in another world," Lana exclaimed with excitement bubbling in her voice. "I thought you were done traveling with the Doctor again?" I teased, a smile playing on my lips as I glanced at her. "I am, but I have to admit, it was a bit thrilling," she said with a chuckle. I couldn't help but shake my head in amusement. As I scanned the surroundings, my eyes landed on Mr. Leon tending to his garden in the front yard. Lana and I exchanged a knowing look before glancing at him. "His poor wife," Lana sighed, and I silently agreed. Mr. Leon noticed us and waved, prompting us to wave back with polite smiles.
"Let's hope he doesn't recall anything," I murmured, and Lana nodded in agreement. Engrossed in our conversation, I suddenly caught sight of River Song appearing a few yards away from us. Lana noticed my distraction and warned, "Remember what the Doctor said about her." I nodded, but before we knew it, River was making her way towards us.

ReplyDeleteThis is so good. I'm loving it.
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteYou split this chapter on Wattpad. I find the relationship that the doctor has with that cutie a bit unnerving. However other than that, it keeps me entertained. 👍
